Who we are

Taylor Ohs

A dancer since the age of four, Miss Taylor began teaching at Renew Dance in September of 2017. In December of 2022, she became the Owner and Artistic Director of the studio and rebranded to Dynamic Dance & Acrobatics.

Born and raised in Medicine Hat, Miss Taylor grew up as a competitive dancer training in numerous styles of dance including Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Tap, Pointe, Modern, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, and Acrobatics. In 2021, Taylor graduated from the three-year Adapt teachers training school, and has since completed Modules 1 and 2, as well as her Aerial and Handspring certifications through Acrobatic Arts. This past summer, Taylor attended the Acro Dance Live convention in Calgary on a full ride scholarship earned last competition season. From hands on spotting techniques to innovative teaching methods, Taylor is so excited to share her new found knowledge with each of her students.

Miss Taylor has been a part of the dance community for many years, teaching at numerous schools, skating facilities (off ice training), summer camps, dance studios, and gymnastic facilities in Medicine Hat, Ralston & Redcliff. Taylor holds numerous outstanding choreography awards and has received many scholarships during her time as a dancer and instructor.

Miss Taylor is extremely excited to head into her 6th season as an instructor, and 2nd season as the owner of Dynamic Dance and Acrobatics. She hopes to inspire dancers of all ages for many generations to come!

INSTRUCTOR

Mackenna Walker

Miss Mackenna fell in love with dance at the age of 9 and has been dancing ever since. She took recreational dance for 5 years at the Carol Todor Dance Studio and danced competitively for 4 years with AMR Dance in Drumheller. Miss Mackenna’s main dance genres are Tap and Hip Hop, but she is experienced in a variety of other dance styles including: Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, and Acrobatics. Miss Mackenna hopes to continue to expand her dance skills and knowledge, and inspire other dancers young and old to love the art of dance as much as she does.

Mackenna not only teaches dance but is also a key member of our art program. Creativity has been a major influence in her life, and she loves to express herself through art. When she’s not inspiring students in the studio, she is busy pursuing her Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree in Art & Design at Medicine Hat College.
