A dancer since the age of four, Miss Taylor began teaching at Renew Dance in September 2017. In December 2022, she became the Owner and Artistic Director of the studio, rebranding it to Dynamic Dance & Acrobatics.
Born and raised in Medicine Hat, Taylor grew up as a competitive dancer, training extensively in Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Ballet, Tap, Pointe, Modern, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, and Acrobatics. In 2021, she graduated from the three-year ADAPT Teacher Training School and has remained committed to continuing her education ever since. Taylor has completed Acrobatic Arts Modules 1 and 2, earned her Aerial and Handspring certifications, and most recently became Hand Balancing certified through Aerial Arts by Acrobatic Arts. She is also a certified Kinder Acro instructor through the Acro Dance Teachers Association (ADTA). Taylor has been awarded the Acro Live Teacher Scholarship for three consecutive years, giving her the opportunity to attend the Acro Live Convention in Calgary alongside industry-leading educators. She is passionate about lifelong learning and is always looking for new ways to grow as an instructor. From hands-on spotting techniques to innovative teaching methods, Taylor is excited to bring fresh ideas, new skills, and a positive learning experience into the studio each season.
With years of experience, Miss Taylor has taught at numerous schools, skating facilities (off-ice training), summer camps, dance studios, and gymnastics facilities across Medicine Hat, Ralston, and Redcliff. She has been recognized with multiple outstanding choreography awards and has received many scholarships throughout her career as both a dancer and instructor.
Outside of the studio, Miss Taylor is a proud mom to a busy toddler, who keeps her on her toes and inspires her daily. She loves balancing studio life with family life and brings that same energy, patience, and joy into her teaching.
Now heading into her 8th season as an instructor and 4th season as studio owner, Miss Taylor is thrilled to continue sharing her love of dance. She hopes to inspire dancers of all ages and create a positive, lasting impact on the community for generations to come.
